Arsenal's new website has just launched... that's how you do a football club site. Is there no way out of the contract...?

Does every FL club below premiership have the same format?

Of the 72 who signed up at the time, yes. Those who were conference or prem at the time, no. As far as I'm aware, there may be teams that have got out of it!

To be fair Maxwell I think there might be a few more people visiting the Arsenal website than ours...

To be fair though Jay, it's not just Arsenal, there's a few other teams with similar support to ours that aren't tied to FL contracts with better websites. How long is the contract?

http://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/ are two that jump to mind

The difference is Mole is that they probably have owners/boards who are savvy enough to do something about it. We will be stuck in it for ages no doubt.

I can't be arsed to physically check all 72 sites but from recollection most of the 'non-standard' sites seemed to be from the clubs that have come up from the Conf and were thus mercifully spared the imposition of the FL model which, IIRC was mandatory.

Similarly, clubs that have subsequently been relegated are still stuck with their hideous abortions of ex-FL sites.

I believe all of the rest of the clubs are contractually bound to the provider at the insistence of the FL at the time (how much longer for I know not) and thus stuck with it.

Finally, since I believe all of this came in even before our relegation from the league so I fail to see how any of the subsequent and current incumbents can be blamed - sorry, Jayne, but NOT EVEN TIS on this occasion :)

Not blaming anyone, just saw the Arsenal site and thought I'd share it. The reality is that we could have something like that if it wasn't for the contract which is a massive shame. And Jay number hits shouldn't necessarily equal the quality of site in question...
