From that pic taken behind the goal,it was obviously onside. It's the usual League 2 standard.

What I take from this is the way we fall apart when something goes against us.Where are the leaders on the pitch that will stop the team losing focus? This has been noticeable since Port Vale. It's a shame that Warren is getting on in years,he is exactly what we need in that role.
There is no reason whatsoever why Warren should not be starting, otherwise what was the point in signing him.

Really think Randell needs to get game time, People can say who does he come in for, but in the end does it matter, our results aren't up to it ATM, an injection of something different could just switch things around.

On the match, we were unlucky with the offside, but lucky to still be in it at half-time, you just can't play like that and hope to be in the autos. Freshen it up please Matt.

I've been calling for Randall for weeks.

This ia what is so frustrating/ baffling about yesterday. Even after the goal had been disallowed it was still 1-1 and we had been the better side and looking more likely to score. However, as this graphic shows instead of pushing on for a win we disintegrated and offered nothing for the final 15 or 20 minutes.

Walsall looked like they had goals in them all afternoon nobody really got to grips with Wes McDonald who tormented us throughout...despite our good start to the second half it was no surprise when they scored again.

Maxted made a lot of vital saves back when we were getting clean sheets he was picking up MOM awards appearing in team of the week sides and also collected a player of the month award...Ward has yet to return to his pre injury form IMO.
RD absolutely spot on.

1st half shocking. 2 half much better with City getting into the mix. Good equaliser and at that point there was only one team in it. City get a 2nd and very wrongly chalked out by some inept officials. Guy on end on right keeping Bowman in the middle onside when ball was kicked. Game changed after that as Walsall got a bit more luck from the guys in black and a 2nd wind. Definitely a game changer that wrong call. View attachment 1779
Wrong call, no question and it certainly would have changed the game.
Over 90 mins though we still didn’t play well enough for a side pushing for the autos.
Confidence must be shaken and we need to turn this around quickly, but I’d have been more than happy with our current spot if you’d asked me last August.

Therefore it was dodgy.
Dodgy suggests there might be an element of something not being quite right. That was just plain wrong.

Said it recently that we have no leaders with Taylor and Moxey benched - needs some wise heads now for the run in. Think MT is feeling the heat and the lack of experience really shows when we concede - seems a lack of energy and a certain amount of direction.

Once maxted got established in the side he was awesome. Wasn’t he L2 player of the month for January? Ward since coming back in has looked short of confidence. And by the way it is moot point not mute point.
