I hope so....Can’t remember the last time I saw a electric milk float on the road.
How thoughtful, nice & quiet when they delivered at 0500 onwards.
No one gives a to55 about making a noise early in the morning these days.

There is at least one still operating in Exeter. It seems to cover a vast area coming in along the Topsham Road and serving all the roads off it. I've seen it from Burnthouse Lane all the way to the inner bypass. It could certainly do with extra customers though, as in the network of roads behind my house it only has about three customers. If they were to ban the use of plastic milk bottles, it might help, with people reverting to it rather than lug glass bottles back from the supermarket.

As an aside, back in the early seventies there was a shortage of glass bottles and there was an appeal for people to return their empties. Some friends of mine had a house share in Devonshire Park, and they featured on Westward TV news when the Coop came around and collected over 400 from their back garden !
