I remember well over 6000 turning up when we played Grays in the Conference at SJP - before their bubble burst.

Indeed, iirc it was around 6700. Another Club whose success was "built on sand" and under the current ownership they could be in danger of repeating it !

Made Plymuff look like St Tropez !

The sight of a load of spaced out chavs around the 1950s brutalist architecture town centre is the image that sticks with me.

Grays were a good team which should have won the Conference that season...On the back of a owner who eventually threw his toys out of the pram.

On the Monday after the 4th qualifying round.That will be 21st October.

Weston, Tavistock, Weymouth, Salisbury, Bath all still in the cup and all relatively close(ish) fixtures for us.
