The Loudspeaker System

I sit in the Flybe Stand and can barely hear a word of the announcements coming over the PA System.
Up to recently it was fine.
Or is it just me. ?

Re: The Loudspeaker System

I was in the flybe on Sat and we all commented the same. On one level it is a long running joke about the carp tannoy, but on another level it is clearly not funny. The club should surely be testing it from a health and safety perspective?! Something is wrong with it over and above the normal intermittentness.

Oh, is there a tannoy system in the "Flybe Stand"? I hadn't realised.

Re: The Loudspeaker System

It is often poor and was particularly bad on Saturday.

It needs sorting.

Re: The Loudspeaker System

The reduction in volume seems to have coincided with us having a new announcer. I can't believe that his actual voice is that much quieter than his predecessor, so is it something to do with the way he's talking into the mic?

Whatever the reason it's **** poor and needs sorting.

It was Mark Tyler wasn't it? Yes, didn't hear much. Should be rectified and don't really see the need for an 'on pitch' announcer.

Re: The Loudspeaker System

My ears pricked up at about 2.15 as i was stood in Stadium Way and they started to announce the teams. It got to our second or third player then went quiet.

As has been said, more than anything it's a safety issue, shirley?

Isn't it something to do with sound limiters?

Anyway I'll have a listen for myself when I'm sat there on the 28th.

No idea but the way that the music sometimes gets blasted out to the point where you have to shout to the person sat next to you suggests something's not right.

Re: The Loudspeaker System

Its not much better in the Big Bank. The music is so loud its almost painful & impossible to talk. Then during the team announcements it goes off completely or is muffled. Half the tine we couldn't make out what the announcer was saying anyway.
