not for council tax payers, pcc will be pleading poverty when they have to shut a couple of nursing homes, or cut back on youth services.

It is, of course, worth noting that Plymouth is a Unitary Authority, and as such has a degree of fiscal control that Exeter does not enjoy, shackled as it is to Devon County Council, a conservative authority (in both lower case and upper case senses). There is some evidence that ECC are working quite hard for ECFC- especially now that we are Chairmanless.

The council might well respond that a secured loan on commercial terms to the football club helps to preserve more jobs in Britain's Ocean City than baling out the Fanshaw nursing home.

Unfortunately my G banded council tax will contribute a lot to this!

Can you disclose what evidence this is David? I certainly haven't come across any.

It's not the councils responsibility to fund or bail out struggling football clubs.

ECFC is based on the cooperation of fans - PAFC on crony capitalism and corporate welfare. We own our football club; we prioritise the genuinely needy.
