L Martin wide left, Collins will play the advanced midfield role, hopefully Sweeney and Woodman will be bench warming, Devitt alongside Bow and I won’t mention Weale.

Apart from the obvious holes the first 11 doesn't look too bad! I'd possibly have Will Dean in ahead of Aaron Martin, although it remains to be seen whether his best position will be in midfield or defence.

I'd put Hartridge ahead of Martin. He played some really good games but then had a bad half at Northampton when he played in a three and was never given another chance. Plus I fancy that Moxey likes playing alongside a youngster

I thought the new scholar Jack Arthur was a keeper? He might be better than Weale as number 1.

Eventually perhaps. You will see I had Jack Arthur down as sub keeper (with Matt Taylor as another option!)

But Weale got picked ahead of Norman for the first team bench when Christy was suspended. And Norman got picked ahead of Arthur for U23s and the Devon Bowl etc. So I guessed that MT would currently pick Weale ahead of 16 year old Jack Arthur.

I don't reckon he'll pick Weale anymore, if I'm being perfectly honest.

Just over a week later and we've lost Weale and added Nigel. Not sure yet where he would fit into this line-up or who he would replace if everyone is fit and no-one else leaves. Personally I think the midfield appears pretty strong and am looking forward to seeing how we fill the gaping holes elsewhere in the squad.

Andrews line up was fantasy anyway, as he only included ten players ! He named Aaron Martin playing in two positions ! ;)

Interesting to read that we are still discussing offering Troy a new contract and that one has not yet been offered yet,

"We have not officially offered him a contract, it is a case of discussions are ongoing.

We've got to be honest, he played eight times for me last season and 20-odd games the season before and the return for a first choice centre half hasn't quite been there, so I am looking at options."

MT keeping his eye on value for money!

Bowman
Law – L. Martin – Williams
Taylor – Atangana
Woodman – Parkes – A. Martin – Sweeney
???

Bench: [GK], Moxey, Dean / Dyer, Collins, Sparkes, Holmes, Jay / Seymour

Could also put Jay in for L. Martin, swap L. Martin and Law, or move to a front two with Jay or Seymour partnering Bowman. Could see Sweeney moving to RCB ahead of A. Martin if we bring a new right back in.
