Perhaps the Posh need an overrated striker again.

You can always guarantee there is someone on here who will knock city players no matter how hard they try, how good they are or what they give to the team. Point is they all think they are better than MT who picks the team.

I think one near the end would have hit the bar. 😇
Just seen the highlights on SSN and I don't think. The two saves in the second half were very, very smart reaction saves.

The last bit is actually untrue.

The criticism of Bowman is totally without justification, If he gets about 15 goals this season he will have done brilliantly, He is an outlet, he causes physical problems for every defender he plays. Hate Adrian Durham with a passion, but could see why a team that play a physical game would like him in Division1.

He misses a lot of chances, it's frustrating, but he does so because he is always in position, through a hard-working attitude, something which should be admired not mocked.

Unfortunately we haven't found a man to play off him yet, but it's obvious to anyone that if someone could find a way, maybe the mythical Ajose, that they will get knock-downs aplenty, and goals.

Feel Matt should try to give someone a run of games, and hope to spark that elusive partnership, the odd match not working for me, and Martin not a striker. I would give Seymour or Jay a run.

Did very well to grind that one out against a Salford side that showed their attacking intent straight from the kickoff with quality balls coming into our box from both flanks all afternoon....to keep a clean sheet was superb as was Maxted with three super saves...Parkes and Aaron Martin were excellent back there too...not too much to get excited about going forwards although I thought we were denied a stonewall penalty when Williams was upended in the box early in the second half.....overall I thought it was a very accomplished performance possible better than what MT gave the players credit for in the post match press conference....Maxted MOM.....they certainly deserve their Xmas bash in Manchester tonight.

An average of 2 points per game X 46 matches = 92 points. This is easily sufficient to make the autos. We are just 3 points off that target.
It's clear that there are many teams at a similar level in the top half of the table, who will all take points off each other.
You couldn't say City have shone like a burning light, but by hook or by crook we have managed to somehow stay in the top 6 for most of the season.
Our goal difference shows that it hasn't been easy, but if we can keep battling it out we have a chance. Atangana has fitted in well, hopefully Ajose can return fully fit and fulfill.our hopes, and we will have good cover in case of injuries.
We will probably have to go through a lot of stress and strain, but as things stand I think we can be hopeful

Love how he goal was worked!

It was a thing of beauty eventually - but looked like a breakdown of planning when it initially came out

worth noting that sweeney played a good immediate ball for the goal but then gave the ball away when he had all the time in the world..

Maxted has not had a great season so far, but he deserves the match ball after yesterday's hattrick of world class saves. 2 point blank reaction stops which on any other day would have been goals. It shows what he's got in his locker, if he carries on playing like that Ward will have a hard time getting back into the starting line up.

I even dare our perfectionist resident goalkeeping expert to disagree with this appraisal.
