Hopefully put Carroll’s wages towards him as a starter

Could this be bad news or not for City?
Leroy Rosenior sacked by Hull City for failing to make play offs. Maybe his team should have put in a better shift on Saturday.
Will the new manager now revaluate the squad and deem Ryan surplus to requirements? Somehow don't think so, as will want to look at the whole contracted squad.

They will still have to publish their retained list even if they haven't appointed a new manager. OK so Ryan is still under contract for next season, but will have to assess all the squad, even before seeing them in action. Hull won't have much video footage of him for inspection either. Any incoming manager will want there to be space in the squad for his own new signings.

Really like Ryan Woods for us in league one... Don't think he's getting back in the Hull side though. I guess it's Seri who's his spot in the side. That's big jump up in quality.

Equally players retained or brought in will be ones who are seen as potentially able to play in the Premiership. Rosenoir would I assume still be in a job if their chairman was happy to stay a Championship side. Woods is nowhere near that level so could be made available for transfer
