Two of our pylons have been redundant for a few seasons as lighting was added to one of our stands which meant they were no longer needed. As I understand it, a result of some work being carried on the stadium over the summer, one of the currently redundant pylons is being removed. However, instead of being disposed of, it will be used to illuminate the car park behind our North Stand - so not gone completely.

I agree with the sentiment about lights in general and what they symbolise/represent.
Seems I was wrong, I'd misinterpreted a badly written article in the local paper. All the pylons at FP are being taken down with one being preserved to illuminate the car park. What a shame :(

sad sight seeing good ol traditional floodlights be no more :(

Don't they still have them down at Plainbore ? If they do, it could become a place of pilgrimage !

I Believe so! also a fan of Bath Citys traditional lights, the structure helped me find Twerton Park en route to our PSF vs them a couple of years back.
