This tournament has been just right for us, a chance to bring back players from injury, chance to keep out of favour and suspended players match fit, chance to give the youngsters a serious run out, chance to earn a bit of cash. Don't know what we would have done without it to be honest. And now we are bowing out at the right time all the stronger to face the final challenge of the season, promotion!:)

And what seems to have been forgotten, is that our youngsters are through to the knockout stages of the Premier U23 Cup, and have already comprehensively despatched Villa who were last years winners, so plenty of further opportunity for them there too, plus a limited number of over age players needing a game.

At this stage of the season for so many of our first team supporters to be "au fait" with the youth team is unbelievable, in the past, and at other clubs, your average supporter might have heard of one or two players that might make it, but most at City know of and have opinions on all the kids. We're a great club!

But the thing is, outside of Portsmouth and Salford no one will give a toss. Like everyone else on here, the only thing I will bre watching that weekend is the Cheltenham game
Probably, Denzel. But the match will have a much bigger crowd with Portsmouth playing, which will create a much better atmosphere. Better viewing "experience" ? And I imagine more people follow Pompey than City. Salford have the MU connection to big it up, too. Sponsors will also be happier.
If Sky televises it, there is a reason. They don't do it out of the goodness of their hearts. Anyway, we didn't get to the final so Cheltenham v City is not a bad swap, as you say.
