In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
What ever anyone thinks about the merit of the competition,85,000 for a couple of Division 3(in old money) teams at Wembley is impressive...I did not watch the game, many on the football sites mentioned what a great atmosphere there was at the stadium.

The saloon doors have just swung open at Fratton Park 6 minutes of added time for Portsmouth to save their season

All over Sunderland into the final.
Obviously disappointed, but we weren't quite good enough to get over the line. The lack of quality on our part over two legs in the play-off semis was symptomatic of a side who had run out of puff in the last few weeks.

It will be an interesting final. Sunderland have a strong squad but Charlton have been the form team in recent months and have a couple of standout and in form players in Joe Aribo and Lyle Taylor. Of course, play-off finals are one-off games (not that we've ever managed to get to one), and anything can happen.

How long till next season starts?!

Think Doncaster might have some say in this still

Nice touch from Pompey last night for a minutes applause for the late John Gittens

Wasn’t too much between the sides and you did have a couple of good headed chances that should have ended up in the net...what did surprise me from the tv was how quiet Fratton Park seemed to be probably caused but the excruciating anxiety seemed to be about the place.

They put in a hell of a performance this evening. Not sure why the police got involved with the toss for penalties - assume it was to stipulate the end at which they were taken, but not sure that's fair?

We seem to have been involved in the one dull (for the neutral) playoff rubber across the three divisions - which is a dubious badge of honour but not wholly unreflective of our performances this season. Hopefully the finals will all be humdingers.

He was with us for a couple of seasons in the nineties. Was a struggle to hear the announcement over the PA but I think a couple of his family members were in the crowd last night as well, so hope they found some solace in the respect for Jon from both sets of fans.
