Very clearly aware Max,

According to Google the transfer record paid to a championship club for a player was 20 million, that was Gini wijnaldum from Newcastle to Liverpool who at the time was a current international and proven at the highest level, second most expensive transfer was Ruben neves who was sold for £15.3 million, again proven at the highest level in the champions league with FC Porto.....why would Ollie Watkins who don’t get me wrong is a fantastic player be worth anywhere near 20 million??
Moussa Sissoko left a Championship Newcastle to Spurs for £30 million in the same season as Wijnaldum, and both part of team recently relegated from the highest level, not sure that is classed as 'proven'.

I don't think Wijnaldum or Sissoko are good precedents to follow for evaluating Ollie though. Better to look at James Maddison, £20 million from Norwich to Leicester, or Ryan Sessegnon to Spurs for £25 million. Or even Oli McBurnie to Sheffield Utd for £17.5 million .

Either way, your google search has given you a false view of the market for Championship players Redarrow, as Ruben Neves wouldn't even make the top 10 most expensive championship players.

Be a bigger team than Brentford I would imagine. But they do have a chance of promotion this season.

That four million will come in useful next year especially if we win League 1 football.

Purely from a mercenary viewpoint, that we would benefit from the sell on fee !

Yep agree and see your point. But in terms of less expectations to cut it. We would be ideal, far less pressure on him.
