He played the part of the cultured Mr Rafiq brilliantly in the mid 1970's series "Gangsters." Not so sure of his Corrie role.

Very sad - he changed the face of Rugby, a colossal presence whose health issues cut his career, and now his life, tragically short.

A marvelous player indeed and a thoroughly nice bloke as well. I still wince whenever I see that tackle on Mike Catt.
