Hi,

Living away from Exeter I don't get a chance to catch up with the BBC Spotlight, but I have looked on their Twitter and Facebook pages, and shockingly, there is actually no mention at all of tomorrow nights match!!

Do we think this would be the case if a certain other team were in a play off semi final?

Have they actually mentioned it on their TV programme?

I remember when I was down for one of the matches recently, and they did a full report on the other match (You know who) in league 2, then the report on our match stated only that "Former Pilgrim Reuben Reid scored a late goal for Exeter".

Is there still a slight bias towards them?

Go text and email Gordon Sparkes on Radio Devon, get him to send us good wishes! If enough of you do it, then he have to do so on his morning show.

At least they're consistent, Spotlight has become so Cornwall and Plymouth bias I have stopped watching it live and tend to record it and watch on fast forward stopping at articles if they look to have any interest.
An example of this sort of bias reporting is when they reported the new Ikea store opening in "Devon" they asked what was they likihood of Ikea opening in the West of the region and then went on to interview street shoppers in Truro to see if they were following developments in Exeter, no doubt hoping that there wouldn't be interest which would no doubt help them raise the question why Exeter why not Plymouth or Truro?

I'm sure there will be a full preview on both tv programmes on the teatime news tomorrow, just to set the pulse beating a little faster.

I did see this report this evening and I tend to agree. I think the more worrying aspect for the BBC though is the fact that they spent 5 minutes plus reporting that an IKEA store is to open. Hardly earth shattering stuff. Just announce it and move on to something more important worthy of air time like animals that need rehoming or charities that need plugging.

BBC continues its total bias in favor of Plymouth. Always has done, always will do. Shameful disregard for Exeter.

To be fair though, there isn't a lot on the Excess and Error (sorry, "Devon Live") web site either. It's all about IKEA, the Devon County Show, and traffic news.

None of this matters. We know what a big game this is. It's sold out. We know they will all be falling over each other should we get to Wembley but sod em
