Sky Sports are saying that Bury have until midnight for someone to pay the creditors and must have sufficient funds for the season ahead else they will go into liquidation. Bury owner Steve Dale is saying that there are 4 parties interested. If so there leaving it bloody late.

Now he's saying 1 is in serious talks. Think you might be right.

They can have a 48 hour extension if needed.

Interesting guy this Steven Dale, allegedly pays £1 for Bury at Christmas, takes them to a CVA with £9m of debts of which the non football creditors are said to likely receive 25% but in reality will be a lot less, and again has allegedly been involved with 51 companies previously of which 43 have been liquidated, has never received approval by the EFL to take over yet still controls the company and now wants initially £2m reducing to £500K to sell the club for his 'hard work' and resources for the eight months he has been involved. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9783813/steve-dale-bury-fc-worth-companies/
Great work if you can get it.

And whilst Dale is the current hit man let's not forget that Bury's problems have been around longer than he has, and the players and manger last year with their salaries were appointed by the previous administration there.

There ought to be a thread on clubs who are potential basket cases, with the likes of Macclesfield Bolton Bury (funny how they are all around the Salford area) all struggling and there are probably a lot more, I am sure if you look into them and their background story they will tell the same sort story of expenditure exceeding income with a narcissist in charge looking for the merest glimpse of success to extol how wonderful they are and expect everyone to be grateful for what they have done. (If you're lucky they might even do some videos of how wonderful they are or have been)

That's a bit like saying Wigan is in the Salford area but you wouldn't associate Wigan with Manchester and therefore Salford so why would you associate Macclesfield given that they're similar distances away (or at least they certainly look that way on a map).

How long are the EFL going to let this drag on for??

I do feel really sorry for the fans of Bury and Bolton but how much longer is it going to be before the EFL finally say enough is enough.

We had plenty of gripes when we were down in The Conference but at least they dealt with matters like this promptly, ie Gateshead most recently.

I suppose they are reluctant to kick them out. Also there may be more clubs on the brink as well, ones the EFL may know about that the fans don't.
