I agree, I thought they would have taken a very decent number, I expected a crowd of around 40k - 45k.
When Tranmere lost to FGR in 2017 there were 18,801 , I think Tranmere had 14500 .

Delighted for Tranmere. Would've been ridiculous if Newport had gone up. Mid-table for most of the season and finished with a goal difference of 0.

Pleased for us/me. The long journey to Tranmere not needed next season whereas the three other play off teams are all within reasonable travelling distance for me.

Newport would have been worthy winners given the season they have had but as we saw when we played Tranmere at SJP they are a strong uncompromising, no nonsense side and as others have said had they stayed down would have been serious challengers next season.

Newport staying down I wonder what their keeper Day’s position is. Unlikely I know but if he was available he would be a great signing.
