Cold Pursuit , Liam Neeson. Neeson’s son is killed by a drug cartel , his wife has a breakdown and leaves him ,and he goes on a revenge killing spree in retaliation.
Multiple killings Tarantino style follow but unfortunately the film comes nowhere near Tarantino’s standard. O.k for a quick Neeson fix but not up to his usual standard imo. 6/10

Man in the Middle 1964.American colonel ( Robert Mitchum ) defends obviously guilty American lieutenant ( Keenan Wynn ) who has shot and killed a British sergeant towards the close of WW2.
Barry Sullivan plays the American Commanding Officer general and Trevor Howard gets a cameo but key role as a British major. Mitchum is either to aid the prosecution in a guilty verdict or risk his army career.
I’d never seen this Mitchum film before and quite enjoyed it .Found it on the Talking Pictures channel. 8/10

Cone of Silence , yet another film from the excellent Talking Pictures channel. Bernard Lee , Peter Cushing , and George Sanders star ably supported by the likes of Gordon Jackson and a few other well known faces. An experienced older airline pilot played by Lee is held responsible for a fatal airline crash at the enquiry.Shades of the current Boeing crashes. Is it down to him or the plane?
Another good old black and white movie.Got to be at least a 7/10.

Have you seen "No Highway In The Sky"? 1951 film based on a Nevil Shute novel. James Stewart plays a Farnborough boffin engaged in research on a type of aircraft he suspects may have a serious structural fault. Jack Hawkins is his boss.

This film was followed just two years later by the DH106 Comet disasters when RAE Farnborough, had to fathom out why three had fallen out of the sky within twelve months. I remember watching an excellent TV documentary on the subject, some years ago.

Crooks Tour. Courtesy of Talking Pictures. Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne reprise Charters and Caldicott from The Lady Vanishes. Nowhere near s good as that film, but they play "the Englishman Abroad" to a T. Diverting enough. 6.5/10

Recorded that one to watch soon. They were also in Night Train to Munich as the cricket loving duo.Plus , I think , one called It’s not Cricket.
