Help required - getting rid of Sky TV

OK, so I'm finally done with the not insignificant intravenous drip going from my bank account straight into Uncle Roop's pocket.

I want to ditch Sky TV and am wondering the best way to go about it. I'd like to know the best way to get recordable HD Freeview channels at the minimum cost?

How has anyone out there gone about this?

Freesat + or free view +. Free Sat will slip into your existing sky dish. Type Freesat on the argos site.

Bttv is another option as if you have broadband with them you get bt sport.

Personally wouldn't go with BT who were utter ****e for me.

Humax freesat hdr box,records and does everything sky does,a one off payment and all you need to do is connect to your satellite dish.you will need two cables from the dish so you can record and watch a different channel at the same time.bought one 4 years ago and no monthly bills from sky!
