Given it recovered from being taken out, and managed not only to get back up to the pack from well adrift but overtook quite a few to finish 14th (and ahead of the wife's horse!), who knows what might have happened!

I agree we cannot be sure what would have happened if he had not been wiped out. However, it is very rare for a horse to lead for the whole of the second circuit and that winner saw the race out really well.

Yes the Oaks today. As this is for fillies it is always better to look but not invest money.
