Mine would have to be:

1. Cowley Bridge Inn
2. Eagle Tavern
3. Stoke Arms

All 3 due to childhood / early adulthood memories of good times with family / friends. The Cowley Bridge Inn was great for a game of arrows, decent cider and good food. The Eagle was great for free pool as a kid (I knew the landlord). The Stoke was nothing special but was our local when staying in Exeter.

Best was the Spot though, when it was behind the big bank - lots of great memories there.

The Lonsdale may be close to another SJP, but that's as close as it gets to having an Exeter connection ! :S

I like the Nobody Inn for a pint and a meal (although wasn't impressed with their Sunday roast). Also sas an extensive range of whiskies.

If i had to agree with you we would both be wrong
Hour Glass first pub I got barred in at 14 yr old even thought the landlord was my Uncle.
The Artillery always good for a very late lock in / early morning beer.
The Coachmakers buy all your Xmas goodies for less than half price.

When was the last time you went there? It creeps me out just walking past on a daily basis.
