Where is good for a small-ish group of gents to go on a late night binge in Exeter? Please bear in mind all of them are 30 plus and mostly know nothing about modern music.

Centre Spot seems to tick all of the boxes here? ;)
(Provided you can persuade them to stay open past 8)

Would be a Friday or Saturday night, last time I was out late in Exeter, I went to the angel, it was too busy for me and I couldn't get a seat. Decent music though.

Cheesedale PLC, Cotswolds.
Head over to Tagg's abode, plenty of drink in the cellar.

ps. Share tip for your AU - Utilitywise, £2.40p, I bought in today, been monitoring them for a few weeks, good growth company, bottom of yearly trading range, looking for a 15% return within the next six weeks. (y)

Horse & Dray, The Printers Pie and The Brook Green Tavern are probably your best bet. Followed by a few Hooches in Three Fat Fish.

Probably one of the wetherspoons, reasonable priced beer.

Avoid the pitcher and piano, if it is still there, paid nearly 9 quid for 2 pints, a couple of years ago :-O
