He rode his luck a few times and it's not for the purist, but he did his job and has cashed in. Hopefully Stoke, Bairstow and Moeen can get amongst the runs and build a good size lead.

Who cares about sandpaper any more?
Super glue is far more effective!

Geoffrey will do as I tell him.

To be fair I'm struggling for another player. I don't want Broad in the side and Rashid isn't up to it.
And yet Broad took 5 wickets and Moeen's rotten form continues with bat and ball : just out for a duck.

Lest we forget we play another Test before the Ashes...!

I think Roy will be given a chance even though he doesn't even open for Sorry. I have massive reservations about his ability in the red ball game especially up top, but then I also have massive reservations about Buttler in red ball stuff and he has done alright since coming back in, so what do I know, etc.

Archer will be nailed on to play, so I'm starting to think Broad is coming to the end of the road after a modest season with the ball so far for Notts.

Joe Denly remains in very good form, I wouldn't rule him out of a spot in England's top 3/4.

So maybe this then (assuming Anderson is fit):

Roy
Burns
Denly
Root
Bairstow
Stokes
Buttler
Moeen
Woakes
Archer
Anderson
Pretty close.

What is about England that we have to suffer a collapses like this? Was hoping for somewhere near 100 as a lead

We're 44 ahead. Woakes and Broad are useful with the bat, but the TMS team reckon the ball will spin a lot during the final innings. Guessing we'll need at least 100 start.
