Well done the lads ! (clap)

This season we seem to have finally cracked this penalty shoot out mullarkey ! [G]
Three penalty shoot out wins in three different competitions!

Comfortably mid-table
Concentrate on penalties in training City, seems to get us further than press ups or five mile runs.
Interestingly, after the Yeovil game Matt said that we don't practice penalties.

Magic Sweeney dust innit?

Think maybe Hamon should have played. Good opportunity to give a GK minutes and Norman will get plenty of those other times

It's also about team work, Hamon trains with the seniors and Norman trains with the U18/19/20?, he needs to understand the rest of the team and they he.

Anyway he saved a penalty which won us the tie so no doubt it was the right decision, added to that he also made a few good saves.

Biggest disappointment of the game, Levi Landracombe, was only a sub, came on with about 10 minutes to go and did very little, was well marshaled by a defence considerably younger and less experienced than he as well.

I think Matt said after the Notts County game that the senior squad were going to have some well-deserved days off to take advantage of a rare mid-week without a game. Even though the likes of Hamon, Oates and O'Shea haven't played much they have still done a lot of travelling so presumably it was thought that they would benefit more from the time-off than playing against Tiverton.

Also although the website said this would be an U23 squad, it was entirely composed of teenagers..

We're paying Ivybridge Town or Buckland Athletic next. I think their game is this coming Tuesday.

Oooooo goody. Seen City play away to Ivybridge but that was at Newton Abbot because they didn't have flood lights. Have they sorted out their ground in last 4 or 5 years? Need to tick their ground off my list watching City. Working in Newton Abbot now so no excuses for Buckland if its them away. Saw us play there in a friendly a few years back. Tidy little ground.
