And like that we've lost.

The natives are getting VERY restless, I'm not the only one to point out the utter, utter stupidity of us signing a seamer when we've got a great bowling attack and nobody scoring runs.

2020 at the kiddie's table with all the riffraff in the red ball game for your bauys then Jason. Will they allow Middlesex to play at Lord's ?

Somerset wrap up the win by 298 runs. Yorks finishing on 127-9 with Coad absent injured.

An excellent win. Eyes turn to Edgbaston where Essex will probably get a draw. Will be interesting to see if they try to speed up for batting bonus points.

Looking more and more like it will go to the wire in the last game between the two. Yaarkshire's slim mathematical chance of getting into the mix now blown away after a dismal performance.

Essex following on 193 behind, and they've lost a wicket already.

Patel took 6 wickets as Essex crumbled in the first innings so maybe it will be difficult for them to hold out.

Sadly Cook and Westley offering a seemingly impenetrable defence, and it can't be long before hands are shaken on a draw ! Still a good outcome for Somerset, with Essex now playing catch-up going into the final two matches !

Although they will be confident against Sorry on their own patch.

If Somerset need only a draw against Essex in the final game what sort of pitch will they prepare ? 🤔

I have taken the week off for the last week of September, might as well tempt fate, nothing else as worked in 128 years, or whatever it is.

Secretly hoping the rest of September is washed out though from next week, I'll take a win anyway I can get it.

Somerset seem to be strolling on - Hampshire 24/5.

Green pitch, cloud cover, light indifferent. Bowler friendly conditions. Very difficult to bat. Why on earth did Hampshire choose to bat ?
