Probably one of the best modern day batsman not to get an England cap.

Yes he probably should have been given a chance.

Poor first class batting average of just a tad over 24 this season mind.

I thought I heard on the wireless that it is going to rain all week. ⛈

Look on the brightside Al. Current Met Office forecast suggests tomorrow should be ok with the rest of the week with maybe a few showers but overall less than 50% chance of rain.
I think hypothermia is more of a threat than pneumonia this week!

Yes, too late now. He was unfortunate to have his peak years when England's middle order was much stronger. Trott, Pietersen, Bell etc...

Congratulations to the great Yaaarkshire curmudgeon Geoff Boycott and to Andrew Strauss for the knighthoods bestowed on them in Teaser's resignation Honour's List. (y) 👏

Good news for cricket. Well done Mrs May.

Have they? Didn't see that. Congratulations to them both. GB has been referred to quite a bit as Sir Geoffrey over the years. Good to see it made official.

"Recovered" to 199 all out. Largely thanks to a 66 by Cap'n Abell and a spirited unbeaten 40 in a late cameo by Overton (J).
But is it enough?????

We're 47/2, exactly 100 behind Durham's 147 all out. Get a good dig in and our promotion hopes are not completely over just yet.
