England 221 all out with 5 and a bit overs left. So where is the batting line-up, that pre tournament, was being tipped to be the first in history to reach 500 runs ?

On a more cheerful note, Devon had a crushing win against the Welsh.

I think from an England perspective we need to cheer on NZ today

So, sure as eggs is eggs, it's turning into a procession in Pakistan's favour.

After 26overs NZ have inched their way to 82-4. The unbroken fifth wicket partnership reaching 36 so far, the biggest of the innings.

Well that put the knockers on it ! 2 balls and 1 run later, Williamson is caught behind for 41, and with his departure to the pavilion, any hope of NZ achieving a defendable total, probably vanishes with him !

Doh ! I didn't reckon on the dogged determination and competitive spirit of the Kiwis there then ! Neesham (97no) and de Grandhomme (64) put on 132 for the sixth wicket, with Neesham finishing the innings off in style with a six off the final ball to reach 237-6.

Can their bowlers complete the turnaround ?

Pakistan need just 38 runs from the last 8 overs with 7 wickets in hand. Despite using NINE bowlers the Kiwis haven't managed to make any decisive breakthrough. The fat lady will soon be in full voice.
