Somerset innings closes at 206-8. Banton was out the very next ball, and Abell hit 63 from 33 deliveries.

Fat Lady poised at Taunton, with Kent requiring 65 runs to win from 12 balls, and nine wickets down !

Kent 151 all out (18.4 overs). Another crucial mahoosive win for the Cidermen by 55 runs.

The real turning point was Craig Overton taking 3 wickets for no runs in his final over to leave Kent on 101-5 after 12.6 overs.

Banton looks special, was a bit worried after his first good innings and he received a bit of undue hype, he did not do that well after, but he is now looking like the real deal.

BTW Tres seems a great talker of the game, hope he is a Sky fixture for years.

Two crushing wins for Somerset who have a great chance now to get a Q/F. Was unable to make the County Ground scene for the Kent thrashing due to a trip to London for Spurs v Villa.

Did go to the Ageas to see the Hampshire game which somehow avoided the rain. Banton and Byrom failed for a change but Babar hit a magnificent unbeaten century. “Hit” is not really the right word as his timing is his strong suit. Caressing a ball in the slot off Abbott over cover for 6 was supreme. Tom Abell scored heavily and quickly too and the 200+ was well over par. The inept, misfiring Hampshire batsmen never had a chance and they would probably have been bowled out for less than 100 before the rain wiped out the last 8 overs to spare further humiliation.

Looking like a washout at Taunton this evening, if the forecast is right.

Sadly that looks right.

T20 at Old Trafford this evening already abandoned. Others to follow no doubt.
