Looks like Coventry have now done a deal with Wasps to ground share at the Ricoh. https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2019/may/news-club-statement-regarding-efl-vote-and-stadium-situation/
Not sure about that. I believe the groundshare is with Birmingham City but they continue negotiations to stay at the Ricoh. They had to have the groundshare option confirmed in order for the EFL meeting to be cancelled next week.

Understand this statement relates to an agreement to a groundshare at St. Andrew's as a back up. Either way, SISU are a shower.

As are Coventry City Council and as are Wasps for the part they have played. None of them them are putting the City’s football club and it’s future top of their priority list. Shame on all of them, especially CCC.

The EFL reluctantly agree that Coventry can ground share with Birmingham City at St Andrews https://www.efl.com/news/2019/june/efl-statement-coventry-city/

I do not know much about the complex issue between SISU the City Council & the fans, but why on earth did the Council sell the ground to a team who have been traditionally based in the London area ?
You would have imagined the football club would have had first shout on a stadium that was built for the Sky Blues.

That’s the million dollar question that only CCC know the answer to. Bunch of noobs. Statement from SISU yesterday still gives a little hope that work is ongoing to find a location to build a ground in the City for CCFC. So, a season at BCFC but at least still playing somewhere.

“Unfortunately, the Council’s decision to sell the stadium to Wasps and prevent CCFC from participating in the sale process has empowered Wasps to take this position against CCFC.

Until Coventry City owns its own stadium, it will be at the mercy of a conflicted landlord, imposing onerous demands and conditions as a requirement for any deal.

SISU remains committed to providing CCFC with its own stadium in the Coventry area. We are grateful to the EFL for their support and patience in this matter and will continue to work closely with them throughout the planning and development process. We will provide CCFC with all the assistance required to enable the Club to return to the Coventry area, in a stadium it and its fans can again finally call home.”

I hope Wasps get stung severely for their greed and incompetence and certain CCC personnel lose their jobs. Shame on them for not supporting the city’s football Club.

A very expensive exercise for Coventry City.Renting cost at Sixfields a few years ago will probably seem a insignificant amount compared to renting at St Andrews.

From Coventry Evening Telegraph

The Supreme Court had earlier refused Coventry City permission to appeal the decision of the Court of Appeal not to allow a judicial review into the sale of the Ricoh Arena operating company Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) to Wasps in 2014.

The legal action brought by Otium Entertainment and Sky Blue Sports & Leisure, the Sisu-controlled companies that make up Coventry City, argued that ACL was undervalued when Coventry City Council sold its stake to Wasps.

Wasps paid a total of around £20million, with more than £5m split between joint-shareholders the Alan Edward Higgs Trust and the council and Wasps taking on the £14m loan from the council to ACL.

If successful, the legal action could have seen Wasps forced to cough up an extra £27m for ACL, potentially bankrupting the rugby club.

Coventry City bosses have always said they still want to do a deal to stay on at the Ricoh - but owners Wasps have repeatedly said they will not enter talks over a new deal unless the long-running legal action and all proceedings are dropped.

Row with council

Last week saw statements released by both Coventry City Council and Sisu in response to each other's comments that had been made regarding the sale.

Coventry City's owners hit back at comments made by council leader george Duggins - saying they "never had the opportunity to buy a stake in the Ricoh".
