I don't even try buying for dad and A anymore, it's just too hard to find something they want. I'm a queen of gift cards, people can buy what they want. Maybe it doesn't have the same effect as unwrapping a big gift on Chrissy morning but I just lack the ability to predict what people will like.

Right, thanks for the ideas folks have got presents sorted all thanks to amazon. Dad is getting Alex Fergusons autobiography. Key's dad is getting £40 worth of amazon vouchers for his birthday and for Christmas, a self stirring mug (cos he moans at me for not stirring his tea or coffee properly) a thing to find his keys, cos he's always losing em and a digital money jar (so he doesn't have to count his shrapnel, that he saves for a rainy day).
