One attendance that stands out is the Saturday at Grimsby, which is almost close to our lowest mid-week and only 2/3 of a Saturday at Carlisle, which is further. Several conversations between City fans as we left the ground were about how low the official attendance was. I would have added 50 easily to the total, possibly 100 more.

On the same day you took around 700 to Newport, we took 1500 to Bath which is a longer trip from Torquay than Newport is from Exeter. Likewise, we took 500 more fans to Woking than your promotion-chasing team did on the same day to the easier trip v Cheltenham. We would have taken more than 600 to Swindon if we were chasing the play-offs in League 2. :)

Bit of novelty value in national south ,good chance of winning a few matches.

Assuming we get say 400 at Stevenage and 900 at FGR that should take the totals to around 10,600 at an average of 460. Pretty decent given the distances we have to travel to support City
Yes, hat's off to the traveling Grecians. 460 would still represent a drop of nearly 10% on last season's average of 505 though.
(Home crowds do not seem to have sparkled much either - no sign of the much-advertized post-Tisdale bounce!)

Economic climate still tough? Not enough 'new grounds' to visit? Team never really getting into top gear despite a commendable first season from Matt?
I am too far from the action to know which, if any, of these might be true.

I think all of the things you mentioned have a bearing...A large turnout at Coventry,Stevenage & FGR would have boosted last years average...It’s always interesting to see how the away following has grown, but it is irrelevant to the football club for league games(no financial impact except for a small commission on ticket sales-5%)

433 at Stevenage and 1,223 at FGR takes the season total to 10,962 at an average of 477. Over 1,000 three times, under 200 also thrice.
