I & many others went to Elmore FC on the Saturday(after the Daggers game was called off)
Many of Adams Family were there including his widow & children but it was a uplifting occasion to see his family & friends there.
I felt proud of my fellow Grecian supporters who were there that afternoon to offer support to the Stansfield family.
I will never, ever, forget the ecstasy of Oxford away when you dropped your shoulder and guided it right into the corner past Turley........one of the best moments and mental celebrations I've ever been involved in whilst supporting City.
Great video from the club, great memories and tributes. Ten years on and you still get tears in your eye. Shows the impact of his character on the club.
I think it would be more powerful if the club decided to retire the shirt for good.
The club could use the reason why they no longer will use number 9 to keep the memory of Adam but also to bring Greater awareness of what took him to soon.
Adam was one of my favourites over the years, If only we had a Stanno in our team last season.
