Born in Plymouth July 19 1908, RAF veteran Ralph grew up in Devon and lived in Gloucester for around 60 years.

"His last words to my brother were: 'What was the Plymouth Argyle score on Saturday?"
RIP to Ralph Hoare who died last weekend at a magnificent 110.

Got to agree remarkable man, but bit odd that after living for 110 years he still hadn't realised that argyle are losers.
