With Harry Kewell in the dug out for Notts County I wondered in the Match day thread which other European Cup/Champions League winners as players went on to manage a team ECFC had faced?

So that thread doesn't get hijacked here is a separate thread. Names so far:

John Barnes
Dalglish
Edgar Davids.
Michael Laudrup? Pre-season friendly?
Wasn't Peter Shilton managing Argyle when we beat them 3-0 at their place?
Trevor Francis ?
Paul Lambert
Phil Neal when he was managing Bolton possibly.
I wondered about Jan Molby but he never won it (just checked...)

I'm sure there must be another Forrest winner or two out there?

Paul Lambert won it with Dortmund too. He was in charge of Norwich when we were in League One with them.

Sorry, he's already on the list. One of the more obscure players, though.

Teddy was Stevenage manager, I think.

Did John Barnes ever win it? Can't be bothered to check but thought he would have missed out.

John McGovern who captained Forest at one of their European Cup wins managed Bolton from 82 to 85......I have a clear memory of playing them in the early 80's but do not know if it was when he managed them, but suspect it was ?
