So is anyone able to pull together what they believe to be the top 10 or 20 ecfc goalscorers? With totals for league, cup and overall total goals?
The Exeter City "Bible" has full details up to 1990, but I couldn't say where you'd get up-to-date info. Websites won't necessarily be that accurate - I've just seen one which is recording our record transfer fee received as £500,000 for Buster Phillips in 1995.

Where abouts can you access this bible? Given the Grecians site linked above, which shows all data from 1990ish onwards, would mean the two combined (with a careful eye for not duplicating stats in late 80s early 90s) would produce an accurate list of data.

Fred Whitlow scored 61 goals in 83 appearances in 1931-34....

In more recent times Ray Pratt had a excellent record, especially as a lot of his appearances were as sub earlier in his Grecian career..

He had a great record at SJP..He was top Scorer in 72/73 if you include the goal he scored in the League Cup, ‘Pop’ Robson did not add to his goal tally in cup competitions.

In 73/74 he scored another 6 in the League Cup to add to the 25 in the League ending up 2nd leading scorer in the FL & Cup competitions behind Gillinghams Brian Yeo...Add that to the 18 he got in 71/72,not a bad return for a old style centre forward...Amazed that he is not been inducted into the Grecian Hall of Fame.

Fred was well known for his singing as well..
Somewhere in the attic I still have two "45s" - one of which featured Fred Binney singing "Don't you know I am, a football fan, football's my cup of tea....."

Loving the boy Stanno
The other side was:

Be a Grecian supporter, bring your son and your daughter, and do what you ought to do, come give a cheer, ‘cos your team is here....

No matter the weather, we’re playing together, we’re kicking the leather about, come give a cheer, ‘cos your team is here.....

La, la la laaaa, la la laaaa, la la laaaa....

Etc, etc :)

It's a book called "Exeter City, A Complete Record 1904-1990" by Maurice Golesworthy et al, publ. 1990 by Breedon Books.

Yep, bought mine from there a couple of months ago.

I believe Tony Kellow is our all time record goalscorer.

So after a bit of research, the purchase of the Exeter City bible, and the grecians.co.uk website, I have come up with a list of historic goal scorers for Exeter City since entering the league, up until today.
The list includes everyone player who has scored over 50 goals for us, with both league and cup goals and then a grand total. I also included Stockley at the bottom given he is the only current active player for us to be on more than 30 goals.

PLAYER................LEAGUE...CUP...TOTAL
Tony Kellow............129........21.....150
Alan Banks ............101.........8......109
Fred Binney.............90..........8.......98
Darren Rowbotham...78.........17......95

Graham Rees...........85..........7.......92
Stephen Neville........77..........9.......86
Harold Houghton......79..........4.......83
Angus Mackay..........78..........5.......83
Keith Bowker............66........10.......76

Well done JJ would be really interesting if we could also establish how many games each played for City to see their goals per game ratio.
