Simon Hallett now has 64% of the shares and is investing £3m or so to get the grandstand redevelopment done.

Is he a proper chap?

David Felham takes over as the Chairman.

Does anybody know how much Harry put into the Gargoyle and also how much he got out of it both from a footballing perspective and business perspective with improving connections with local authority https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-19788955

If HP had ever expressed an interest in "redeveloping" Brentford's ground would he have allowed through the Griffin Door?

I don't think he has necessarily improved connections with the local authority, more likely that they have worsened in recent times. It's a long and complicated story, try reading the Argyle Talk Democratic forum (if you have a good few hours to spend) to get the gist of it. It goes back to his purchase of the loss making Plymouth Pavilions for a token sum, which had conditions regarding the provision of a new ice rink, before redeveloping or selling on the site.

It has been quite amusing to spend a few minutes comparing and contrasting the reactions to the news on ATD vs The Pigsty.

The former appear rejoicing like all their Christmases have come at one.

While the latter seem to be treating it with the mournful deference usually proffered to a much loved head of state (think Princess Di squared times the Queen Mum).

Indeed, I would not be surprised if someone on the pig-sty hasn't already proposed a Stalin-esque memorial plinth when (or IF) the Mayshower refurb* actually happens.

Just imagine it - Harry Potter Rampant, with Porkstain as Hagrid the Horrible, Postman Prat as Ron Weasel-ly, Nastily Cornish as Hermione's (MUCH OLDER) Ugly Sister, and, above then all, Professor DumbleSparkes beaming benevolently down on his pupils. People would pay good money just to avoid that "attraction"

Seriously though. For any of its sometimes perceived other "faults" the EW mod squad have always (within reason and legal niceties) tolerated conflicting opinions - unlike PasCaring where the UberPorkstain has always, and still, seems to react at the blink of the eye to censor anything that differs even a jot from his own blind prejudices. (Also, as far as I now, nobody on the EW Admin teams have ever used "dubious means" to try and bully and expose any dissenters from the "official" ECFC party line). Hence, we've never had to had the need of a "CTD" as a counter-balance, even during the worst of times.

*PS: Now we've got the NOG (almost) completed - on time and on budget, how about an acronym for the dreamed of fourth side at HP...if or WHEN...it ever comes to fruition.
How about the SOS. (Clue: first two words are "Same" and "Old") :D
