It's been irritating me for years, but mentioning the name of Dick Pym, means it always got changed to Dick Pym. He deserves better respect than having half his name obliterated.

Anyways his first name has been removed from the censorship options.

Excellent Hants and quite rightly. On the odd occasion I have mentioned him on here I’ve had to mention him by his nickname “Pincher “

Another advantage of course is that if someone annoys us on here we can freely call them a dick.

Did Dick Pym used to have the White Hart in South St or was it Bastin ? We used to have to get my grandad out of there and he'd tell us about the international caps on the wall of the pub. Blowed if I can remember which one of the legends had it though.

Mind you grandad loved a pint and told some amazing stories.

Good news Hants.

By the same token does this mean that we'll also, at long last, be able to pay full due recognition on here to a former resident of this parish, a certain Mr Plumb (17 goals in 59 games between 1972 & 1974)?

When I was a youth I played cricket against a lad called Richard Head, he tried to stump me once.

Excuse my ignorance but is there any link to your current goalkeeper?

Clearly Pym's Number 1 at Exeter though. ;-)

*edit* tried to insert image of a bottle of Pimms No. 1. Failed.

Often seen approaching the crease, I suppose.
