Proper masterclass from the ginger ninja on Thursday night. With Hiram Boateng he controlled the midfield. We've not seen this too often from Ryan in the last couple of seasons, but it reminded us of why we fell in love with the player when he was with us the first time around.

Such a great goal, and here it is from all the 360 angles

If i had to agree with you we would both be wrong
Certainly was very much like when he first came to us.

I did predict a 25 yard screamer from Harley in the first game ......... he just did it in the second game lol.

The Harley/Boeteng axis is critical. You can see Ryan is thriving on it.

Didn't Nicholls score a goal against the gulls like Harley's the other night ? Sure I remember a screamer like that from a few years ago.

He caught it perfectly. Seemed effortless as it screamed into the net. Great goal.

To me he's always had that knack - seems to be able to strike the ball hard without much apparent effort. If it was cricket you'd call it timing.

And I always thought his left was his “weaker” foot

It probably is, if he'd hit it with his 'right' it would probably have broken a few windows in John Lewis!

The big difference in this match was that Ryan was much more central than he has been for a long time. He warmed up in the 1st half with a couple of uncharacteristic poor shots and then rolled back history in the 2nd half.
