With the start of the County Championship only two days away, thought it was time to start a new thread !

I see Morne Morkel has signed a two year "Kolpac" deal at Surrey, will he give their bowling attack a "shot in the arm" or are his best days behind him ?

A shot in the arm possibly, much as I hate the whole Kolpak concept.

TC is at the IPL and is then likely to be with England for the white ball side of the summer, at least. Sam is therefore the leader of the attack with backed up by the inconsistent Meaker with Rikki Clarke as 3rd/4th seamer. Jade doesn't suit red ball cricket and Matt Dunn has gone backwards.

That's right up your street Credy isn't it?! :)

I thought you always took your fan club of 3 fans and a dog.

Have a good season.

Somerset have signed Aussie Matt Renshaw. Have to confess I don't know much about him.

Bad light there now but at least a bit of a recovery from Fat Boy and Simpson. Meanwhile your reject Gareth Berg has got some runs down the order at the Ageas where Hampshire have rather subsided after a bright and brisk start.

Decent signing IMO and only 22. Opening batsman who can play a long innings as well as changing up through the gears. Will not be available for about 6 weeks from the end of June though.

Born in Yaaaarkshire. :(
