    Looks like Lanky have been relegated even if they go on to beat Hants and Notts lose to the Cidermen. If that is the case one more batting point would have saved them.

    I remember when we used to get batting points (last week's aberration aside).

    As seems to be the case this season, we've remembered how to bat (so far anyway) in the 2nd innings after being bowled out cheaply in the 1st.

    Interesting developments at Durham vs Middx today - James Harris has had to retire hurt after deciding to play a bouncer with his head. Major discussions now taking place over whether Middx can bring in a concussion sub, presumably to bat.

    EDIT: The big debate is about who will replace Harris, as the rule requires "like for like" except in exceptional circumstances. The problem is that the only really viable replacement currently is Ollie Rayner, but as a spinner he isn't really "like for like".

    EDIT 2: Rayner appears to be padded up.
