Not sure anyone can, can they? An awful lot of work done by professional footballers is with young people and he’s now a convicted paedophile who’ll be on a register for life. Not sure that can be quite so nonchalantly dismissed just because he’s half decent at kicking a ball - I wonder how many parents would be happy if their children were match day mascots and led out with him holding their hand

You have to factor in so many different things before employing him, clubs are big on the community aspect then there's issues with sponsors. Yes he's a good footballer but there's so much more to consider in his case.

Luke McCormick , Lee Evans , Ched Evans , Troy Deeney spring to mind for varying offences....

If he comes out signs for a club and scores on his debut do you think the ground won't cheer? Course it will

Of course not no parent would - but I also do believe that people serve there time and deserve a 2nd chance to earn a living regardless if there a footballer or builder

For the record, Ched Evans’ conviction was quashed on appeal.
