Play the first team from the start Tis, no experimentation. Should be a good day for The Sweeny!

The wind has shifted round to due south, and the rain finally stopped about 50 minutes ago. The cloud is starting to break up and watery sunshine is showing through. The wind remains quite strong, blowing at force 4, which will certainly help dry out the pitch. The temperature is 10c, but it feels colder on account of wind strength. Still don't think we're likely to see 'the beautiful game' and I concur with Sturtz, play the strongest team from the start; we should have a fairly strong bench. Please don't leave Stockley marooned up front having to chase high punts over the top of their defence.. we're not that good! Potentially some interesting games elsewhere this afternoon especially Luton v Accrington. I'll settle for three points, please!

There's no flies on Keith Curle, he's expecting hoofball.

Quite sad really when your team has been openly recognised as having a "long/high/direct ball" strategy

On this, was our hoofball acceptable when Wheeler was on the receiving end ?
    I don't think I minded too much.

It's called Plan B. It's typical of Exeweb, all last season (and probably many seasons before hand) people on here moaning about no Plan B and when it's recognised that he has people still moan. It might not be pretty but it is an alternative.

How is it an alternative when it's our preferred style of play?

Don't mind the lone striker, as long as we have a midfield able to get forward and support. Boating, Taylor, and Holmes please and play Harley in a forward position. Sweeny and Woodman as full backs. Obvious centre backs
