Do you actually know this for certain? Has this been confirmed by the local authority? Or is it a guess?

No big deal when the game is played: the important thing is the 3 points

Was mentioned back along from memory - and no I'm not certain I just seem to remember it happening or being mentioned earlier this season

Suggest you all read these. Basically as SJP Halt up platform can only accommodate one carriage and longer trains have to be put on as so many Egg-chasers travel by train, there currently is no real alternative to asking City fans to use Central when both are at home. It's not favouritism to the Chiefs, just simple logic. 11,000 rugby fans, a long way from the city centre. 4,000 football fans, 10 minutes walk from an alternative station. Do the math, as they say in the USA.

I guess it's too simple to say put on extra carriages and ask that those wishing to alight at SJH occupy whichever carriage is going to stop at the platform? Like other trains do.

That’s rubbish! When the early morning train from Exmouth stops at St James Halt, all the doors on all the carriages open. Trains are usually 2-3 carriages long. For longer trains (4 is the max I have ever seen), as Mox says, this could be easily remedied by asking City fans to use specific carriages like on many other rail journeys.

On the return journey, sometimes only the first door is opened which does cause congestion. However, there are several doors that could be opened along the length of the platform.

Couldn't find anywhere else to tag this onto as the prediction thread hasn't started yet.

    An interesting article.

Mr Pring probably hasn't played a lot of football at a decent level but is quite knowlegable about maintaining a football pitch , so should we take his comments as a sign that our pitch isn't quite as bad as Mr Tisdale would have us believe?
