I get where you guys are coming from, really I do. Seriously, had the game gone ahead tonight you guys that attend may well have been questioning whether it should have gone ahead or not.

That was the case, but now the official match referee has to show up and check the pitch. The league felt it couldnt be depended upon that a local referee wouldnt be biased. Also the match referee gets to claim his travelling expenses, which is a lot more than the match fee.

And it's our responsibility to get the SJP pitch in a fit state, which it blatantly isn't. What's the difference between their pitch being waterlogged tonight and ours on Boxing Day and the FGR fiasco.

Conspiracy theories may well be all good fun, but perhaps it would be better waiting until we put our own house in order, before carping on at other clubs.

At the end of the day, however well the pitch is prepared and maintained, it comes down to carp weather, and unless we as the human race stop wrecking the planet and creating the changing weather patterns, it will only get worse !

It's being reported today, that the "local referee" made his inspection and then following a telephone conversation with the "match" referee the game was called off. It made no reference to the referee having to subsequently turn up. I suppose it's lucky they don't insist on all four match officials turning up !

And Lincoln winning is currently putting us out of the play off zone. Thanks Port Vale, yes I'm sure you've had worse weather than Accrington, Bury, Barrow etc that all seem have got their games on...
