He would get in all the top 4 side at centre half (when playing well) so I'd say it's a top signing especially given Man City wanted him as well
Just seen this from Alana Shearer, "No, he is not worth it at all. Southampton could have named any price they wanted and Liverpool were desperate. As we have witnessed many times this season, Liverpool are in dire need of a centre-half. He is good, but £75m? Nope.
"He is a good central defender, but for £75m, no way. When Liverpool try and sign a goalkeeper - which they desperately need - they will find the same thing."

Going back a post or two, Belgiums Number One??? In front of Courtois???? Stop being silly!!!
It's not desperation , it's the going rate - Lakuku isn't a 90 million pound striker - but that's the market , Ethan Ampadu isn't a 3 million pound 16 year old but that's the market - no football player is worth 75 million regardless of ability but it is what it is

Mignolet isn't as good as Courtois granted , there are only 1 world class keeper in the premier league in De Gea & Courtois is next best , Cech is past it & Loris makes mistakes like Mignolet

The lad at Everton is one to watch - Pickford.

First half, especially up until City scored was embarrassing. It's amazing what happens when you give a defence something to think about. I never got the point of signing Joselu. At least with Gayle he is always looking to get in behind and stretch the defence, the same with Atsu. Suddenly Shelvey and Merino, when he came on, had a bit of room to play and somebody to hit.

What isn't Mitrovic getting games ? I watched Newcastle at Preston last season and he was superb....I know different level but can't be much worse than Joselu....

Hopefully Dwight Gayle is ok that was a bad fall he took

    Big win for Swansea....

Newcastle and Brighton sharing the spoils will probably suit Brighton more....

Good results for Bournemouth & Southampton....

Stoke have taken some beatings this season , 7-0 at City , 5-0 at Chelsea & 5-1 against Spurs...

Very good Xmas period for Liverpool , if we had beaten Arsenal (should have) it would of been perfect , but to go to Burnley and win with 7 changes is a top result...

    Big win for Newcastle today....

Palace deserved a point v City and WBA somehow awarded a penalty against Arsenal
