He’s probably at Michael Wood services as we speak.

Brent Pilnick has tweeted that ECFC are expecting a quiet transfer deadline day. Someone may be coming in, but nobody set to leave.

Don't mind a "quiet" transfer window if that also involves signing players. Sounds like he's hedging his bets a bit though...

There was only a small turnover windall for new players from the FA Cup, as one game from each competition is included in the budget already.

Possibly enough for one player for half a season plus the loanees.
That can't be right as it would mean WBA got more than us for the game..

Think you'll find JW means 20% to VAT....................THEN of what's left, 10% to the FA and 45% each to WBA and ECFC

Maybe some of the money from the WBA game has also gone towards new ticket printing , postage and any extra costs of putting on the FGR game tonight ?

Yeah it was a bit vague. I’d love us to get someone but if we move into February with the squad as is and have the return of Brown and JMT, we’re not in bad shape.

Perhaps he was second (or third) choice?

The club should be aiming high and securing their first choice targets in the first week of the window. Anything else is evidence of incompetence and lack of ambition.
