I'm not such a connoisseur as you, Hants.

The sale of tickets has been done correctly.Given our average crowd is below 4k,anyone who wanted to watch the game would/will have the opportunity to be there.

I would have been amazed if we could not have shifted the 5,500 home tickets.I know the FA Cup is not the attraction it was years ago,but itís fairly rare for the Grecians to play in the 3rd Round at home on a Saturday.

The way they've worded it, I reckon there is more tickets available they're just not putting them on sale yet. Maybe police advice?

From the conversation I had with the Ticket Manager at lunchtime today you'd be wrong to reckon this. There may be one or two returns as you might normally expect from people unable to attend at short notice, though nothing more.

Why would the police advise such a course?
What benefit would there be for the police in having limited availability on match day?

One scenario would be police having "intelligence" that WBA fans were trying to buy tickets for the Big Bank, and were concerned about segregation issues ? Although it seems it has now been stated by the Club, that all tickets have been sold, and it will be just any returns that may become available.

Agreed, though this would need little "intelligence" on their part. Good to hear that it's a sell-out and not only because this will deter speculative WBA fans who might have hoped to pay on the day from travelling.

Police intelligence? A contradiction in terms surely? D&C couldn’t show less intelligence when it comes to policing football if they tried.

I think they're pretty smart regarding chalking up the overtime hours, Moxers.
