If they thought they could get him I suspect they wouldn’t be averse to spending a nine figure sum on him.

He showed up well enough against Real Madrid last week.

Sincere congratulations to the U17's, A brilliant achievement. Seems this past summer/autumn England have had unprecedented success with the U17's to the U21's but will they get their chance their 1st teams? Not all will make the level but it would be really great if they could thrive and go on to make great careers at the top level and tbh if the clubs give them the chance and it works out for some of them just think of the money they'd save rather than pay the inflated prices nowadays.

Great achievement from the U17 boys.

We won the U17 World Cup 10 years ago & only 2 players from that team are still professional players - hopefully this crop won't have the same experience moving forwards

That's a remarkable stat and something that requires further investigation to establish the reasons why our obviously talented youngsters didn't go on to produce it at adult level.

This isn't true. In 2007, Nigeria won the U17 world cup, Spain were runner up, Germany 3rd and Ghana 4th. This is the first time we have ever even reached the semi-finals of the U17 World Cup. All taken from - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_U-17_World_Cup

2007 was the first time England had ever reached the U17 World Cup finals and they went out in the quarter finals, losing 4-1 to Germany. Our squad for that tournament included Victor Moses, Danny Welbeck, Danny Rose, Alex Smithies, Henri Lansbury, and a lot of others who have gone on to have solid professional careers (Krystian Pearce, Gavin Hoyte, Jonathan Franks, Medy Elito, Wes Foderingham, etc.)

Full squad here - lots and lots of current professionals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_F...#.C2.A0England
