When the opposition are in the lead and defending the Big Bank, a good way to waste a few seconds is to kick the ball out of play over the advertising boards out of the ground. Didn't we use to have netting up there for that purpose and couldn't it be put up again? If not, we should have ball boys/girls with a spare ball to throw straight back into play posted there.

My thoughts exactly.

You would assume that the club would provide extra match balls to make sure this tactic wasn't used. As long as the ref checks them all beforehand then I cant see any issues.

Multiball isn't allowed in league games. Was stopped beards ago. Not sure a net would be allowed with health and safety.

It could be down to interpretation, the ball can be replaced if it bursts or is kicked out of the stadium. The burning question is where does the 'stadium' technically end nowadays. Also H&S and access are factors.

A more effective way would be to try and ensure they didn't have a slim lead to protect in the first place....

And for Troy Brown and Pierce Sweeney to stop overhitting every pass when it's blowing a gale resulting in the ball going out for a goal kick.

There was 3 peices of netting stretching from the end of the OG towards the big bank, which stopped the ball flying off into the well street waste bit.at the start of the season,I notice the bit of netting connected to the OG was not tightened up,we did wonder why it was not tightened up because it is unlike Clive and his team not to have everything prepared just right.
