As per the speculation elsewhere, the youngster has joined on loan until January

Cover for Sweeney, I presume, so a sensible additional. Welcome Kane.

As an aside, the official release mentions Matt Oakley as Asst Manager; have I missed something?

Yes.

He has been listed as such in the Programme for both League games.

He's currently away with England U18s and will be playing Brazil and South Africa.

Thank you. I thought that Wayne Carlisle fulfilled this role with Andy Tilson, Matt Taylor & Mel Gwinnet in coaching roles. My understanding was that he wasn't interested in coaching, which I assume an Asst Manager would do, but wanted to persue the 'analysis' side of the game.
Apart from the listing in the programme was an official announcement ever made about his role?

Hopefully he does a bit of overlapping and can play as a wing back. Looks like a very good signing.

Not to my knowledge.

And I see he's still listed as player coach on the Club website.

I don't have a Programme in front of me, maybe someone who has can reproduce the relevant bits.
